1-CULTURAL SERVICES
1.1. STUDENT CLUBS
133 student clubs are operating at our university in accordance with the Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University (BEUN) Directorate of Health, Culture, and Sports Student Clubs Guidelines, aiming to help students engage in scientific, cultural, artistic, social, and sports activities and to use their free time for their personal development and the benefit of society.

2.1. SPORTS SERVICES
Farabi Campus Sports Hall
Farabi Sports Hall has a capacity of 550 people and is open for our students for indoor sports and other sports activities. Our students can also use Outdoor Sports Fields- Tennis Courts and Synthetic Soccer Fields.
2.2. ZBEÜ SWIMMING POOL
Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University Semi-olympic Indoor Swimming Pool opened on 26 September 2016. The facility, established on an area of 4500 m2, features a semi-olympic swimming pool, a fitness center, and a gymnasium. The swimming pool has a capacity of 224 spectators and is open to our students, university and public sector personnel, alumni, and guests. It is 25 meters long, 12.5 meters wide, and 2 meters deep with 6 swimlanes in the norms of FINA (World Aquatics). It has 50 lockers and 4 showers in the women’s changing room and 60 lockers with 6 showers in the men’s.
The Indoor Swimming Pool is open between 10 am and 9 pm except on Mondays. The duration of each session is 90 minutes. The fitness center is open to our students, personnel, and others. In the changing rooms, there are 23 lockers and 6 showers. The fitness center is open every day.
3-HEALTH SERVICES
Health-related services are provided by Medical Center Services on Farabi Campus under the coordination of the Directorate of Health, Culture, and Sports. Services are offered to students, staff, and staff relatives.
4-FOOD SERVICES
There are kitchen and cafeteria facilities that are equipped to serve our students on Farabi and other campuses. 4 different courses, based on their nutritious values, are offered to our students, taking the calories of the food into consideration in order to feed them cheap, balanced, and healthy meals.
Canteens are available for students to rest in their free time. There are various canteens that are open between 8.30 am and 11 pm. on Farabi and other campuses. The canteens are in the buildings of the Faculty of Science and Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences on Farabi campus and in the buildings of the Faculties and Schools on other campuses.

Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University became operational as of the 2010-2011 academic year in accordance with Regulation on Solidarity and Coordination for Students with Disabilities in Higher Education Institutions, published in the Official Gazette No.26204 dated 20.06.2006. In accordance with the Regulation on the Solidarity and Coordination of Students with Disabilities published in the Official Gazette No.28913 dated 14.02.2014, it continues its activities. Our university provides educational services for all students in inclusive environments and support them in their academic life. We provide an atmosphere for the students to express themselves and conduct assessments, and aim to create a solution-focused educational environment.
What are the services of the Office for Students with Disability?
On the demands of the students with disabilities, if deemed appropriate, we provide services such as Part-time Employment Programs, Peer Support, and Academic Adaptations. There is a Hearing and Vision hall on the Farabi campus and another in the Library of Ereğli Faculty of Education. The campus is equipped with wheelchair ramps and lifts, and the application of tactile flooring and signage in the buildings creates an accessible environment for academic activities. Our students participate in the cultural and artistic activities as speakers. Eligible students can work with us within the scope of the Time Student Employment Program.

Accessibility Features of our University
Our university is well-known for its accessibility features. Under the scope of “Accessible University Awards” given by the Council of Higher Education (YOK) since 2018, we have 14 units that earned the “Orange Flag”. In the “Accessibility in Education” category, Faculty of Science, Ereğli Faculty of Education, Devrek Vocational School, and Zonguldak Vocational School were awarded the “Green Flag”. The Departments of Biology, Molecular Biology, and Genetics have the “Barrier-Free Program Badge” in the Physical Disability Category.
Under the scope of “Accessibility in Education and Spaces” in 2023, Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University moved up to the 5th place among Turkish Universities. We are working towards the “Accessibility Certificate” given by the Ministry of Family and Social Services and Zonguldak Governorship. We have 2 Accessibility Certificates in this concept with the Faculty of Engineering and the Sezai Karakoç Cultural Center.
INFORMATION TECHNOLOGIES SERVICES
Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University Directorate of Information Technologies continues to improve itself in terms of information and technology to serve the students and staff better, trying to keep up with the technological advances of our age. It is only a part of our services to provide our students and staff with hardware and software support, the safest wired and wireless internet connection, and to answer all the IT-related questions.
BEUN provides students with fast, unlimited, and reliable internet connections with its advanced technological infrastructure. We have free wireless internet connection service on all campuses. Under the scope of the Eduroam membership agreement with Ulakbim (National Academic Network and Information Center), our students will be able to use the free and limitless internet service if they visit a university that is a member of Eduroam with a Radius-based authentication infrastructure anywhere in the world. It is enough for our students to log in to the Eduroam with their username and password.
ACCOMMODATION SERVICES
Comfortable and safe accommodation facilities are provided for our students. Students on the main campus are accommodated in the dormitories that belong to KYK (Credit and Dormitories Institutions). The students on the other campuses are accommodated in the dormitories on the respective campuses.
Zonguldak Provincial Directorate of KYK provides housing for 4014 students. Hot water, breakfast, and snacks are provided in the dormitories, and students can study in the study halls. On all our campuses, there are cafeteria options for our students to dine. 4 different courses are offered in our cafeterias based on the nutritional values and the calories of the food.
