
The Zonguldak Industry and Technology Cooperation Board (SANTEK) Meeting was held under the coordination of the Provincial Directorate of Industry and Technology.
The meeting, held at the Zonguldak Governorship meeting hall, was attended by Deputy Governor Şenol Levent Elmacıoğlu; Vice Rector of Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University (BEUN), Prof. Dr. Şenol Hakan Kutoğlu; Deputy Mayor of Zonguldak, Erol Yılmaz; provincial directors of relevant institutions; representatives from the Development Agency, KOSGEB, Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Organized Industrial Zones, and Zonguldak Technopark.
Chaired by Deputy Governor Şenol Levent Elmacıoğlu, topics including industrial property rights, support and incentive mechanisms provided by development agencies, and cooperation areas aimed at strengthening the regional industrial ecosystem were discussed during the meeting. Within the scope of the agenda, institutional representatives shared their evaluations and exchanged views on the current situation and potential initiatives.
As part of the meeting, Prof. Dr. Şenay Saraç, a faculty member at BEUN and Head of the TÜRKPATENT Advisory Unit, delivered a presentation titled “From Idea to Asset: The Industrial Property Ecosystem of Zonguldak.” The presentation provided insights into Zonguldak’s potential, strengths, and possible developments in the field of industrial property.
As a result of the discussions, a consensus was reached to organize an “Industrial Property Awareness Workshop” in May, with the aim of increasing awareness of industrial property in Zonguldak, supporting entrepreneurship and innovation culture, and strengthening inter-institutional coordination.
Evaluating the meeting, BEUN Rector Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Özölçer stated:

We will continue to support efforts aimed at disseminating the culture of industrial property, protecting innovative ideas, and strengthening the entrepreneurship ecosystem.”
