Zonguldak Governor Osman Hacıbektaşoğlu received Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University (BEUN) Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Ulusoy in his office.

During the meeting at the Governor’s Office, Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Ulusoy presented Governor Hacıbektaşoğlu with the invitation to the Opening Ceremony of the 2026–2027 Academic Year of Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University, which will be held at Sezai Karakoç Cultural Center on Thursday, October 22, 2026, at 14:00.

Rector Ulusoy informed Governor Hacıbektaşoğlu that Prof. Dr. Sadettin Ökten, recipient of the Presidential Grand Awards for Culture and Arts and an academic at Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University, would deliver the first lecture titled “The Vision of Civilization and Identity” as part of the opening ceremony.

Expressing his pleasure at the visit, Governor Hacıbektaşoğlu thanked Rector Ulusoy for the kind invitation and wished the entire BEUN family health, peace and success in the 2026–2027 Academic Year.
