Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University (BEUN) continues to enhance its academic strength in line with its internationalization vision. Prof. Dr. Meltem Avcı Adalı, Head of the Research Laboratory of the Department of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery at the Tübingen University- one of Germany's leading higher education institutions- has been appointed as a part-time academic staff member to the BEUN Faculty of Medicine under Article 46 (Additional) of the Higher Education Law no. 2547.

Carrying out its international academic collaborations, BEUN continues to take a step forward in scientific productivity and global visibility. Giving her first lesson along with the Department of Medical Genetics at BEUN Faculty of Medicine, Prof. Dr. Meltem Avcı Adalı started her academic life at BEUN.

In the first lesson, the planning of the educational program that is to begin in January 2026, designed for the students of specialty in medicine, was discussed with the attendance of the academic members of the Department of Medical Genetics and researcher doctors. The program to be prepared in this context is expected to provide students with academic and scientific perspective in the international standards.
