Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University (BEUN) Hospital achieved a remarkable success performing V-NOTES (Vaginal Natural Orifice Transluminal Endoscopic Surgery) technique successfully, one of the most innovative surgical methods of modern medicine. The procedure was carried out without any incision or scarring in the abdominal area, enabling the patient recover quickly and be discharged the day after the surgery.

Thanks to this advance technological technique, which is increasingly preferred worldwide and performed by BEUN Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics, patients recover and perform their daily activities much faster. V-NOTES technique eliminates the aesthetic concerns, reduces pain and speeds up recovery.

Head of the Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics at Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University (BEUN) Faculty of Medicine, Prof. Dr. Müge Harma emphasized the comfort of V-NOTES surgery for the patients and stated the following:

“In this method, we use the body’s natural orifices. In suitable cases, no holes or incision marks occur in the abdominal area. This provides a major advantage in terms of both aesthetics and the recovery process. The duration of the surgery is significantly reduced, and patients are able to return to their daily lives much more quickly. In an operation lasting approximately one hour, we removed our patient’s uterus and ovaries. The postoperative period was extremely comfortable, and we discharged our patient on the first day.
