A social responsibility and social benefit-focused collaboration protocol has been signed between Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University (BEUN) and the Directorate of Probation in the Office of the Chief Public Prosecutor.
Under the scope of this collaboration that aims to contribute to the different parts of society, it is aimed to give students a field experience and strengthen the social responsibility concept.
Emphasizing the fact that such collaborations aimed at public benefit gain value through the university’s sense of social responsibility, the Rector of BEUN, Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Özölçer, stated the following:
“Universities, as the highlighted face of society, are not only institutions that produce scientific research, but also academic bodies that contribute to social well-being, show sensitivity to societal issues, and strive to produce solutions. Within the scope of this collaboration, which aims to contribute to various segments of society, we aim both to provide our valuable students with field experience and to strengthen their awareness of social responsibility. On this occasion, I hope this meaningful collaboration will be beneficial for both our University and the Zonguldak Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office, as well as our society.”
Zonguldak Chief Public Prosecutor Gökhan Kapağan also highlighted the importance of collaborations with universities in the implementation of probation practices. He noted that this protocol would serve as a model in many aspects and expressed his wish for the cooperation to be beneficial for both institutions.
