A handover ceremony was held at the Dean’s office in the Faculty of Engineering at Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University. Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Servet Karasu, who was appointed as the Acting Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, former Dean Prof. Dr. Hamit Aydın, Associate Dean Assoc. Prof. Dr. Gökhan Gürbüz and Associate Dean Assoc. Prof. Dr. Berna Aksoy attended the ceremony.

In the ceremony, Prof. Dr. Servet Karasu thanked Prof. Dr. Hamit Aydın, who requested to be relieved of his duties due to health reasons, for his contributions to the Faculty, wished him success in his academic and personal endeavors, and presented him with flowers. Prof. Dr. Hamit Aydın congratulated Prof. Dr. Servet Karasu on his new role and wished that the role would be in the best interest of BEUN and himself.  

Following the ceremony, Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Özölçer, Rector of BEUN, made a statement:

“I would like to thank Prof. Dr. Hamit Aydın for his contributions and dedicated efforts throughout his tenure at our Faculty of Engineering, and I wish Prof. Dr. Servet Karasu success in his new role.”
