The 2025–2026 Academic Board Meeting of Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University (BEUN) Faculty of Pharmacy was held.
The meeting, held at the Faculty of Pharmacy at Tahir Karauğuz Conference Hall , was attended by the Rector of Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University, Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Özölçer; the Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Prof. Dr. Zehra Safi Öz; vice deans; and academic staff.
Academic and Administrative Activities at the Faculty of Pharmacy Were Discussed in Detail
At the opening of the meeting, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy Prof. Dr. Zehra Safi Öz delivered a comprehensive presentation on the activities carried out during the 2024–2025 Academic Year. Prof. Dr. Safi Öz shared detailed information on the planned activities for the 2025–2026 Academic Year, the new academic year planning, the numbers of academic and administrative staff and students, as well as the completed and ongoing scientific, social, and academic projects at the faculty.
In her presentation, she also addressed the academic projects planned to be implemented and the social, cultural, and community-oriented activities intended for students. Concluding her remarks, Prof. Dr. Safi Öz expressed her gratitude to the Rector of Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University, Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Özölçer, for his support for the development of the Faculty of Pharmacy.
Following the presentation, the 2025–2026 Academic Board Meeting of the Faculty of Pharmacy continued with the presentation of certificates of appreciation by BEUN Rector Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Özölçer to academicians who distinguished themselves with their scientific publications in national and international indexes.
Rector Özölçer: “Faculty of Pharmacy Contributes to the Society and Science Community in the Field of Health”
After the certificate ceremony, Rector Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Özölçer delivered a general evaluation of the 2024–2025 Academic Year and wished the 2025–2026 Academic Year Spring Semester to be auspicious for the university community. Rector Özölçer stated that the qualified education, research, and practice activities carried out by the Faculty of Pharmacy made significant contributions to the university’s scientific strength and contributed greatly to scientific production in the field of health and social benefit.
Initiatives That Stood out with Social Activity and Academic Achievements
Highligting the significance of academic achievements in his speech, Rector Özölçer stated that the fact that Asst. Prof. Dr. Burcu Timur was presented the “Thesis of the Year” award by the President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is a source of pride for the university.
Emphasizing the significance of training provided in various fields such as patent in pharmacy, prescription, occupational health and safety, disaster awareness, narco youth and European Credit Transfer System, Prof. Dr. Özölçer stated that such applications strengthen students’ professional expertise. He also stated that having academics as researchers in TÜSEB 2025-B-01 project is a significant achievement in terms of strengthening scientific production and research capacity.
Concluding his speech, BEUN Rector Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Özölçer expressed his pride in all the achievements of the Faculty of Pharmacy, ranging from its academic and scientific contributions to the healthcare services provided to the region, and stated his belief that the Faculty of Pharmacy would continue its strong momentum in scientific research and practical applications in the coming period. He thanked all academic and administrative staff and wished them continued success in their work.
