Strong Inverstment in Health from BEUN: The Dialysis Center Began Providing Services with Its Renewed Facilities

Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University (BEUN) has added another initiative to its services in the field of health. Dialysis Center at BEUN Hospital was reopened for service with an inauguration ceremony following comprehensive renovations.

High Participation in the Inauguration Ceremony

Zonguldak Governor Osman Hacıbektaşoğlu, the Rector of Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Özölçer, Chief Physician of BEUN Hospital Prof. Dr. Burak Bahadır, the Dean of Faculty of Medicine Prof. Dr. Hande Aydemir, Provincial Health Director of Zonguldak Specialist Dr. Mustafa Özkan Gün, Responsible Physician of BEUN Hospital Dialysis Center Asst. Prof. Dr. Yasin Öztürk, academic and administrative staff and press members attended the inauguration ceremony held at BEUN Hospital.

Comprehensive Modernization Work in the Dialysis Center

As part of the renovations, BEUN Hospital Dialysis Center was modernized in order to carry out health services with the best equipment and best patient care standards. In this respect, all patient beds, furniture, and furnishing, bedhead units, air conditioning systems, medical instruments, and dialysis center water systems were renewed in the modern health services standards.

Enhanced Service with Increase in Capacity

Beginning to provide hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis services with 5 dialysis machines, Dialysis Center reached the capacity of 10+2 dialysis machines following the renovations. By being equipped to provide hemodialysis and peritonea dialysis services to inpatients and outpatients with its new capacity, the center is ready to operate more efficiently and comprehensively for the people of the region.

Governor Hacıbektaşoğlu: “Dialysis Center will Provide Service to the Region”

Zonguldak Governor Osman Hacıbektaşoğlu expressed his pleasure for the qualified development Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University achieved in the field of health. Emphasizing that Dialysis Center not only serves patients from Zonguldak but patients from the neighboring cities, Governor Hacıbektaşoğlu stated that the center will make it easier for both the patients and their relatives with its higher capacity, strong infrastructure, and structure that prioritizes patient comfort following the renovations. Hacıbektaşoğlu thanked BEUN Rector Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Özölçer for his support in this health investment and all academic and healthcare workers and wished it to be auspicious for Zonguldak and people of the region.

Rector Özölçer: “Our Hospital Adds Value to the Western Black Sea Region with Its Qualified Education and Quality-Focused Service Approach”

Emphasizing that renovations and improvements carried out at the university hospital are done to improve the quality of health services, the Rector of Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Özölçer stated the following:

“We continue to increase the capacity of health services each day. With the reopening of BEUN Hospital Dialysis Center after the comprehensive renovations, we continue to increase the quality of health services provided both in our city and the Western Black Sea Region. We are glad to provide more modern, more comfortable, and available health services following the renovations.

Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University Hospital is a health hub not just for our city and the Western Black Sea Region. We try to provide efficient, safe, and modern health services through infrastructure investments, renewal of medical devices, and initiatives taken to increase service capacity. The renovations carried out at the dialysis center are concrete reflection of these efforts.

With these thoughts and feelings, I would like to extend my gratitude to the Minister of Health Prof. Dr. Kemal Memişoğlu and Ministry of Health. I would also like to express my gratitude to the President of Council of Higher Education (YÖK) Prof. Dr. Erol Özvar and YÖK Family for strengthening the academic structure of the university, improving the quality of educational activities, and the contributions to the vision in the field of health. I would like to thank Governor Osman Hacıbektaşoğlu, who has always shown great interest in our university.

The Inaugural Ribbon Was Cut, and the Dialysis Center Was Visited

Following the speeches, the inaugural ribbon of the Dialysis Center was jointly cut by the protocol members. After the opening, Governor Osman Hacıbektaşoğlu received detailed information about the center from Rector Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Özölçer and the Responsible Physician of the Dialysis Center, Asst. Prof. Dr. Yasin Öztürk.
The ceremony concluded after an on-site visit to the renovated Dialysis Center.
