Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University (BEUN) Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Ulusoy visited BEUN Hospital, examined the ongoing renovation and healthcare service works on site, and wished success and ease to the healthcare personnel on duty.

During the visit, Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Ulusoy was accompanied by BEUN Hospital Chief Physician Prof. Dr. Burak Bahadır, university and hospital administration, and unit supervisors.

Units Providing Uninterrupted Service 24 Hours a Day, 7 Days a Week Were Visited

Rector Prof. Dr. Ulusoy first visited the Dermatology and Physical Therapy Units and received information from Chief Physician Prof. Dr. Bahadır about the ongoing physical improvements, from exterior renovations to interior renovations. Then, Rector Ulusoy visited the Dialysis Center, which was completed and put into service this year, and was informed about the technical equipment of the center. Chief Physician Bahadır stated that the Dialysis Center operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week without interruption and provides high-quality healthcare services. Rector Ulusoy also visited the patients receiving treatment in the dialysis unit and conveyed his wishes for a speedy recovery to them and their families.

Continuing his inspections at the Gastroenterology Unit, Rector Ulusoy received information from the unit supervisors about the diagnosis and treatment processes carried out there and conveyed his wishes for a speedy recovery to inpatients and their families. In the final part of his visit, Rector Ulusoy inspected the General Internal Medicine and Endocrinology Service. Here, he received information from the officials about the Pneumatic Tube Transport System, which strengthens the hospital’s logistics infrastructure. Chief Physician Bahadır informed Rector Ulusoy about the contributions of the system to operational processes, which enables the much faster, safer and more hygienic transportation of emergency test samples, blood units and laboratory samples between units.

Evaluating the visit, Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Ulusoy said:

“We evaluated the completed and ongoing works at our University Hospital on site. We will hopefully complete the ongoing projects and physical improvements as soon as possible and put them into service. During our inspections, we also visited our patients receiving treatment and their families and conveyed our wishes for a speedy recovery. Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University Hospital is a very strong healthcare institution not only for our city but also for the Western Black Sea Region and even for our citizens coming from different regions. We will continue to work with determination as our entire team to increase the quality of services provided by our hospital and to take our institution to an even better position day by day.
