Rector Ulusoy: “Cooperation Between Education and Industry Builds a Qualified Workforce for the Future”
Making evaluations following the opening ceremony, Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Ulusoy drew attention to the importance of education and university-industry cooperation and stated:
“It is of great importance that our children and young people receive education in qualified learning environments that meet the needs of our time. In this regard, education is the most valuable investment for the future of our country and our city. Particularly in vocational and technical education, establishing modern workshops where students can support their theoretical knowledge with practical skills makes a significant contribution to training a qualified workforce.
We believe that strong cooperation between our industrial enterprises and educational institutions will build a bridge between our students’ educational lives and the business world. In this respect, we consider Eren Enerji Primary School and the Metal Technology Workshop, which Eren Enerji has brought to our Zonguldak, extremely valuable. I believe this investment will make significant contributions to the education, professional development and future of our children and young people.
I would like to thank Eren Enerji for the value it places on education and for bringing this important facility to Zonguldak. I wish Eren Enerji Primary School and the Metal Technology Workshop every success and hope they will benefit our students, teachers, parents and city. I wish success to all the teachers who will work at these educational institutions and to the students who will receive their education there.”
