The Rector of Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University (BEUN), Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Özölçer, received the Former Director of the Graduate School of Social Sciences, Prof. Dr. Yücel Namal, in his office.

During the visit held at the Rectorate, Rector Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Özölçer stated that the Graduate School of Social Sciences holds an important place in terms of the University’s scientific production capacity. Rector Özölçer expressed his appreciation to Prof. Dr. Namal for his contributions during his term of office to enhancing the quality of graduate education, strengthening academic processes, and improving the institutional structure. He also wished him continued success in his future academic endeavors.

Prof. Dr. Yücel Namal, in turn, expressed his gratitude to Rector Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Özölçer for his valuable support and close attention throughout his tenure and for his contributions to the development of the Graduate School of Social Sciences.

The visit concluded with the presentation of a plaque by Rector Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Özölçer to Prof. Dr. Yücel Namal and a commemorative photograph.

Change of Office at the Graduate School of Social Sciences

Prof. Dr. Gökhan Dökmen, a faculty member of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, has been appointed as the new Director of the Graduate School of Social Sciences.

In his remarks regarding the change of office, Rector Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Özölçer emphasized that graduate education is one of the fundamental components of universities’ scientific production capacity and stated:

“As Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University, we continuously work to enhance the quality of our graduate academic activities and further strengthen our scientific production capacity. Our Graduate School of Social Sciences is a significant unit that shapes our University’s academic vision and fosters a strong research culture. I would like to thank Prof. Dr. Yücel Namal for his valuable contributions to our Graduate School during his tenure and wish Prof. Dr. Gökhan Dökmen success in his new role as Director of the Graduate School of Social Sciences.
