The Rector of Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University (BEUN), Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Özölçer, received students who came to the University from Gaza in his office.

BEUN Rector Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Özölçer, Director of BEUN Turkish Language Teaching Application and Research Center, Asst. Prof. Dr. Ali Yumurtacı, Computer Engineering student Abdallah Aburaida, and Electrical-Electronics student Mohammed Husam Abdelrahim Hanoun were present during the visit at the office of the Rector.

Expressing his deep sorrow over the loss of lives in Gaza, Rector Özölçer extended his condolences to the families of the students and the people of Gaza. Condemning the attacks by Israel on Gaza, Özölçer said, “I wholeheartedly wish peace and happiness for the people of Gaza”.

Talking to the students during the visit, Prof. Dr. Özölçer stated that they will be the scientists, educators, engineers, and doctors of the future and they will add value as cultural ambassadors of Türkiye, Zonguldak, and Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University. He also noted that their achievements will be a source of pride and happiness for him. Rector Özölçer told students that university would always stand by them and wished them success in their studies.
