Rector Özölçer: “Sharing the Same Table with Our Youth in the Spiritual Atmosphere of Ramadan Is a Great Happiness for Us”
In his remarks on the iftaar program, BEUN Rector Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Özölçer expressed his satisfaction in sharing the spiritual atmosphere of the month of Ramadan with young people by strengthening the spirit of unity and brotherhood, and stated the following:
“I am very happy to meet with our youth at the same table during the blessed month of Ramadan, the month of mercy and abundance. I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to the Zonguldak Provincial Mufti’s Office of the Türkiye Diyanet Foundation and the Young Türkiye Diyanet Foundation Zonguldak Branch for organizing such a meaningful program. I would also like to extend my gratitude to our esteemed Governor Osman Hacıbektaşoğlu and the General Manager of the Türkiye Diyanet Foundation, İzani Turan, for their courtesy in being with us today.
It is a separate source of pride and happiness for us that our valuable youth, who have come from all 81 provinces of Türkiye and chosen our university, as well as our international students who have come from different parts of the world to receive education at our University, are gathering at the same table today. The coming together of our youth from different cultures in the spiritual atmosphere of Ramadan and sharing the feelings of brotherhood is one of the most beautiful indicators of the cultural richness of our university.
As the Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University family, I would like to especially emphasize that we are always by the side of our students. All kinds of efforts that contribute to their social and cultural development as well as their academic success are very valuable.
On this occasion, I sincerely congratulate the blessed Laylat al-Qadr of our protocol members present here, our valuable students, those who contributed to the program, our fellow citizens, and our University family, and I pray that the fasts they have observed will be accepted by Almighty Allah. I hope that the upcoming Eid al-Fitr, which we will celebrate in the coming days, will bring health, peace, and happiness to our esteemed youth, our noble nation, and the entire Islamic world. May Allah grant us to reach many more Ramadans and holidays together in health, peace, and success.”
Rector Özölçer: “I Wish for Peace and Tranquility to Prevail in the Islamic World”
In addition, he prayed to Almighty Allah for the wars, suffering, and tears experienced in different parts of the world, especially in the oppressed and victimized Islamic geography, to come to an end as soon as possible, and expressed his wish for a world where peace, tranquility, and justice prevail for all humanity.
The program ended with sincere conversations with students and commemorative photographs.
