Closely engaging with the residents of the nursing home, Rector Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Özölçer stated the following in his remarks:
“We are glad to share the same table with our esteemed elders in this holy month of Ramadan. I would like to thank particularly to Zonguldak Provincial Director of Family and Social Services Mehmet Türkmen Köse and Provincial Directorate community who organized the event. I would also like to extend my gratitude to Governor Osman Hacıbektaşoğlu, who is kind enough to be with us today and has always taken interest in our elders and children.
Our elders are the most valuable treasures who bridge between the past and the future. I wish our esteemed elders have a lifetime of health, peace, and happiness. I would like to say that as Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University, we are always here for them.
It is one of the best examples of solidarity to have our foster families and valuable children at the same table. I express my thanks to foster families who have become a home for our children with love, compassion, and sacrifice and hope that our children will have a future with health, happiness, and success.
On the occasion of this meaningful gathering in the spiritual atmosphere of the month of Ramadan, I congratulate the Ramadan of our esteemed elders, foster families, children, and citizens of Zonguldak. I pray to Almighty Allah that the upcoming Eid al-Fitr, which we will reach with peace and joy next week, will bring health, peace, and prosperity to our nation, the Islamic world, and all humanity”
