The Rector of Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University (BEUN), Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Özölçer, attended the official opening ceremony of Öget Şen Kızılay Kindergarten, held with the participation of Binali Yıldırım, the last Prime Minister of the Republic of Türkiye, the 28th Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye(TBMM), and Chairman of the Council of Elders of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS). The kindergarten, built by the Turkish Red Crescent Zonguldak Branch within the scope of the “81 Provinces 81 Kindergartens” project, was inaugurated with a ceremony.
Binali Yıldırım and his wife, Semiha Yıldırım, along with Zonguldak Governor Osman Hacıbektaşoğlu and his wife, Güney Hacıbektaşoğlu, AK Party Zonguldak Member of Parliament Saffet Bozkurt, BEUN Rector Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Özölçer, Karadeniz Ereğli District Governor Fatih Yılmaz, province and district dignitaries, teachers, students, press members, and citizens attended the opening ceremony.
Yıldırım: “It is Difficult to Manage Uncertainty; We have to Strengthen Our Solidarity and Community”
Emphasizing the fast changes around the world and local uncertainties, Chairman of the OTS, Binali Yıldırım, noted the significance of a strong sense of solidarity and said, “The world is changing and there is uncertainty in our region. You can manage crises, but it is difficult to manage the uncertainty. We have to strengthen our solidarity and community. It is not enough to be strong; we have to remain strong. Under the leadership of our President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, we are aware of our responsibilities not just to our country but to the broader cultural geography; we are working for the happiness and prosperity of our people.”
A Certificate of Appreciation to the Benefactor Yaman Şen
Following his speech, Binali Yıldırım presented Benefactor Yaman Şen a Certificate of Appreciation for his contributions. Zonguldak Governor Osman Hacıbektaşoğlu and Director General of Basic Education Ebubekir Sıddık Savaşçı also took part in the presentation.
Ribbon Cutting, Classroom Visits, and Sapling Planting
After the prayer, the opening ribbon of the kindergarten was cut by protocol members, including Rector Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Özölçer. Following the opening, Binali Yıldırım, Governor Hacıbektaşoğlu, and Director General Savaşçı visited the classrooms and gave presents. Binali Yıldırım also joined kindergarten students in a handicraft activity and shared their joy. The program concluded with a sapling planting event in the school yard.
