Rector Özölçer: “We Shared the Blessings of Ramadan with Our Students at the Same Table”
In his remarks about the event, Rector Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Özölçer emphasized that Ramadan is a distinguished period that strengthens social solidarity and brings hearts together, expressing the following:
“Today, we experienced the happiness of coming together with our students on our campus, sharing the blessings of the same table and experiencing the spiritual atmosphere of Ramadan together. We broke our fast together and had conversations with our students about their courses, goals, and future plans. I wish each of our students outstanding success. I firmly believe that our students will make the best use of the strong academic opportunities offered by this well-established seat of learning, achieve the finest positions in their professional lives, and proudly represent our university. We will always continue to take pride in their achievements.
Universities are not only institutions where academic activities are carried out; they are also distinguished centers of learning where religious and national values are shared, where the feelings of unity and brotherhood are strengthened, and where our young people are prepared in the best possible way for the future on their journey of knowledge and wisdom. I would like to sincerely thank, first and foremost, the ÜNİAK Zonguldak Community for their great efforts in organizing such a meaningful event and in enabling us to share the spiritual atmosphere of Ramadan with our students, as well as our Zonguldak Member of Parliament Mr. Muammer Avcı for his courtesy in joining us today, and our valuable students who attended the iftaar program. On this occasion, I congratulate all our students on the holy month of Ramadan and extend my heartfelt greetings in advance for the upcoming Ramadan Feast, which we will celebrate in peace in the coming days. I pray to Almighty God that we may reach many more Ramadans and holidays together in health, peace, and happiness.”
The iftaar program, held in a warm and sincere atmosphere, concluded with students sharing the blessings and spirit of brotherhood of the month of Ramadan and taking commemorative photographs to mark the day.
