
Prof. Dr. Masahiro Yamamoto, an academic at the Faculty of Science at Bülent Ecevit University (BEUN) in Zonguldak, proudly represents BEUN and Türkiye worldwide with his pioneering contributions to the field of applied mathematics.
Under the Additional Article 46 application, launched by the Council of Higher Education in Turkish universities in 2023, Prof. Yamamoto, who works at BEUN, once again demonstrated the university's visibility in the international academic community with his studies published in four leading Q1 and one Q2 scientific journals worldwide under the BEUN address in 2025.

Prof. Dr. Yamamoto, who has won a world-renowned book publishing award and has produced work in important areas of mathematics such as industrial mathematics, inverse problem theory, and fractional differential equations, has been awarded 14 patents for his research in these fields, as well as numerous international awards in his field. His work, which directly interacts with applied disciplines such as medicine and engineering, highlights the impact of mathematics in the field.
International Workshop Held in Honor of Prof. Dr. Yamamoto at BEUN
In May 2025, an international workshop was held at Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University to honor Prof. Yamamoto's contributions to the scientific world, bringing together many scientists from Türkiye and abroad. Prof. Yamamoto continues to set an example of academic collaboration not only through his academic work but also through joint projects he has undertaken with graduate students and faculty members at BEUN.

Emphasizing that Prof. Dr. Yamamoto has made world-class contributions in both theoretical and applied areas of mathematics, such as industrial mathematics, inverse problem theory, and fractional differential equations, Rector Özölçer stated the following in his announcement:
"Professor Yamamoto is one of the most distinguished names in industrial mathematics in the scientific world. Throughout his academic career, he has earned numerous awards, published high-quality works, and obtained patents, making him a respected scientist not only at our university and in Japan, but also in the international academic community. His joining our university in 2023 under Article 46 of the Higher Education Council has been a great gain for BEUN."

Rector Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Özölçer evaluated the international scientific achievements of Prof. Dr. Masahiro Yamamoto, an academic from the Mathematics Department of the Faculty of Science at BEUN and a contributor to the field of mathematics worldwide, in 2025. Emphasizing that Prof. Yamamoto's contributions to BEUN are not limited to academic production, Rector Özölçer stated that he has also made significant contributions to the university's vision and its position in the international scientific community.
