After the presentation of the certificates, BEUN Rector Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Özölçer made general evaluation of the 2024-2025 Academic Year. Wishing the 2025-2026 academic year to be auspicious for the Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University family, Rector Özölçer stated that they continue with the quality assurance, accreditation, sector collaborations, and practice-based educational approaches in all vocational schools.
Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Özölçer stated that it is a significant sign of the education quality that Program of Civil Aviation Transportation Management at Çaycuma Vocational School was entitled to full accreditation by MEDEK and awarded TYÇ logo. Also events held as a part of the TÜBİTAK 2025 Science Talks Program, field trips organized as part of ÜNİDES project, practical trainings carried out in cooperation with AssisTT, and 80 social responsibility projects carried out by students demonstrate the dynamic and productive structure of the university.
Rector Özölçer stated that Çaycuma Vocational School of Food and Agriculture has been strongly maintaining its practice-oriented education through initiatives such as the cooperation protocol signed with the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry Çaycuma District Directorate, the inauguration of the well-equipped Clinical Skills Laboratory — a first at the vocational school level in Türkiye — and the “Kefir for a Healthy Life” project carried out within the scope of ÜNİDES. He also emphasized that the Food Quality Control and Analysis Program’s entitlement to receive an accreditation certificate has been recorded as a significant achievement in terms of quality assurance. Özölçer noted that the vocational school has demonstrated remarkable progress in both sectoral engagement and social contribution. Rector Özölçer further stated that both Çaycuma Vocational School and Çaycuma Vocational School of Food and Agriculture have developed an educational model integrated with the region’s economic, agricultural, commercial, and sectoral potential. He underlined the importance of taking a more active role in national and international projects, increasing scientific publications, and further strengthening public–university–industry collaborations.
At the end of his speech, Rector Özölçer expressed his gratitude to all academic and administrative staff who have contributed to the development of Çaycuma Vocational School and Çaycuma Vocational School of Food and Agriculture, and wished the new academic year great success.
