Member of the Presidential High Advisory Board and the 23rd Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye, Köksal Toptan received the Rector of Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Özölçer in his office.
Rector Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Özölçer was accompanied by BEUN Hospital Chief Physician Prof. Dr. Burak Bahadır during the visit. Rector Özölçer shared detailed information on university’s academic achievements on the national and international arenas, scientific activities, and quality focused development process.
Rector Özölçer emphasized that BEUN contributes to the multi-faceted development of students not only in the academic field but also through social, cultural, historical and sports projects. He also talked about the initiatives taken in line with the local development vision, R&D projects and internationalization vision.

Expressing the pride they feel for the achievements of the university, which is a door opening to the world, Toptan stated that this success is significant in higher education.
Toptan congratulated Rector Özölçer and all BEUN community and wished for further academic and social development and success.
Rector Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Özölçer presented Köksal Toptan with the book detailing the activities of BEUN between 2022-2025, titled “Bir Asırlık Birikim, Yeni Bir Vizyon: Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit Üniversitesi” (A Century of Experience, A New Vision: Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University).
