
Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University (BEUN) 2025-2026 Academic Year Karadeniz Ereğli Vocational School Graduation Ceremony was held with great enthusiasm and pride.
The ceremony was attended by BEUN Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Bekir Hakan Bakkal and Prof. Dr. Servet Karasu, Karadeniz Ereğli Vocational School academic and administrative staff, students and their families.
Graduation Ceremony Began with an Exhibition
The opening ceremony of the “Graduation Exhibition” prepared by Karadeniz Ereğli Vocational School Department of Graphic Design students was held before the graduation program. The opening of the exhibition, held with the participation of Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Bekir Hakan Bakkal and Prof. Dr. Servet Karasu, Director of Karadeniz Ereğli Vocational School Asst. Prof. Dr. Semih Çakır, academics and students, was viewed by the attendees. The exhibition, including the creative works of students made throughout their education made the graduation day more meaningful. Following the exhibition visit, graduation ceremony began.
Durmaz: “I Appreciate Those Who Contributed to this Success”
Beginning with a moment of silence and singing of the National Anthem, the ceremony continued with the speech of Tuğba Durmaz, top ranking student of Karadeniz Ereğli Vocational School and graduate of Graphic Design program, on behalf of all graduating students. Expressing her happiness to share her joy of graduation with her friends, Durmaz extended her gratitude to her family for supporting her throughout her education life, academics, and university administration.
Extending her gratitude to BEUN Rector Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Özölçer for his supports, Durmaz wished success to all her graduating friends.
Asst. Prof. Dr. Çakır: “Today Is the Day Where Efforts Are Rewarded”
The Director of Karadeniz Ereğli Vocational School Asst. Prof. Dr. Semih Çakır emphasized that graduation is not just the end of the education phase but an opening door to new goals. Highlighting that students have made it through dedication and effort, Çakır expressed his gratitude to the Rector Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Özölçer for his contributions to the development of vocational school and support for the students. Asst. Prof. Dr. Çakır congratulated students and their families who have always been there and wished them a successful future.

In his speech on the significance of the day, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Bekir Hakan Bakkal emphasized that he believed the qualified graduates of Karadeniz Ereğli Vocational School will contribute to the development of the country in the fields of production, service, and technology and added:
“We are glad to see our graduating students from Karadeniz Ereğli Vocational School as they embark on their journey of serving to our country. I express my thanks to the Rector Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Özölçer and all colleagues for their contributions to this ceremony. I wish our beloved students health, happiness, and success.
Outstanding Students Were Rewarded
Following the speeches, top ranking graduate of Karadeniz Ereğli Vocational School Tuğba Durmaz, second-ranking student Nurullah Türkoğlu, and third-ranking student Sahra Zengin were presented with the certificate of achievement. Outstanding success of the students was applauded by families and academics.
Durmaz Put Her Success on the Ceremonial Log
During the ceremonial log part, one of the most meaningful and traditional moment of the day, top ranking student of the Karadeniz Ereğli Vocational School Tuğba Durmaz nailed her name plaque on the ceremonial log with her family.
Graduation Oath and Cap-Tossing
Graduating students were presented with a ceremonial diploma and they took their graduation oath. Following the ceremony, students experienced one of the most special moments of their lives and tossed their caps. Experiencing the joy of graduation enthusiastically, students witnessed memorable moments with their families and professors. graduation ceremony concluded following a commemorative photo.
