Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University (BEUN) has recruited Assoc. Prof. Dr. Zhibin Du, a faculty member of South China Normal University, Department of Artificial Intelligence and one of the leading names in the graph and matrix theory, subfields of mathematics.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Du, an internationally well-respected academic with his papers published in various journals, was appointed as a part-time faculty member to the Department of Mathematics at the Faculty of Science on the 3rd September 2025 under 46th (Additional) Article of the Higher Education Law No.2547. Assoc. Dr. Du will teach courses in the graduate level as well as providing supervision to students during their thesis work. BEUN Rector, Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Özölçer stated that Assoc. Dr. Zhibin Du will represent BEUN on the international level and provide students of Department of Mathematics at the Faculty of Science with a valuable education experience.
