Iftaar program organized in cooperation with Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University (BEUN) and Zonguldak Provincial Directorate of Youth and Sports brought the spiritual atmosphere of Ramadan together with young people. City dignitaries, academic and administrative staff and students attended the program held at Farabi Campus.
The Iftaar program was attended by Zonguldak Governor Osman Hacıbektaşoğlu and his wife Güney Hacıbektaşoğlu, Zonguldak Chief Public Prosecutor Gökhan Kapağan and his wife Buket Kapağan, the Rector of Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University (BEUN) Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Özölçer and his wife Seran Özölçer, Zonguldak Provincial Director of Youth and Sports Halil Hacı, Zonguldak Provincial Director of National Education Uygar Keskin, Zonguldak Provincial Director of Family and Social Services Mehmet Türkmen Köse, Zonguldak Provincial Mufti İbrahim Halil Demir, Provincial Head of MHP Zonguldak Çağatay İpekçi, vice rectors, city dignitaries, youth leaders, and students. In the program, where the spirit of sharing and solidarity of Ramadan was deeply felt, gathering around the same table stood out as a meaningful symbol that strengthened unity and togetherness.
Rector Özölçer: “Ramadan Is the Time of Abundance When Hearts Gather Around the Same Table”
In his remarks during his speech in the program, BEUN Rector Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Özölçer stated the following emphasizing the spiritual value of iftar meetings:
“Ramadan is a special period when sharing, solidarity, and brotherhood is strongly felt. It is a pleasure for us to share the same table with our valuable students, saying “Ameen” to the same prayer, and feel the Ramadan atmosphere together. At Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University, we care about the personal development of the students supported by national, spiritual, and cultural values as well as their academic success. We continue to bring our university into the future as a knowledge hub, which is alive 24/7, shares, and prioritizes social responsibility.
Every table that is set up thanks to this Mubarak month strengthens our attachment and our unity. I would like to express my gratitude to the Zonguldak Governor Osman Hacıbektaşoğlu and his wife Güney Hacıbektaşoğlu, Zonguldak Chief Public Prosecutor Gökhan Kapağan and his wife Buket Kapağan, and valuable city dignitaries. I would also like to thank Zonguldak Provincial Director of Youth and Sports Halil Hacı, Zonguldak Provincial Directorate of Youth and Sports community, and all students attending the program. I pray to Almighty Allah that our fasts observed, and supplications made during this blessed month are accepted.”
