Historic Promotion Agreement from BEUN: 99,000 TL Cash Payment for Staff

A three-year salary promotion for university personnel was signed between Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University (BEUN) and Türkiye İs Bankası. As part of the protocol, which has been recorded as the highest-value salary promotion agreement in the history of the University, each staff member will receive a one-time cash payment of 99,000 TL. In addition, with the inclusion of 1,000 TL worth of bonus points to be loaded onto eligible credit cards with available limits, the total benefit amount will reach 100,000 TL.

The promotion tender process carried out to protect and improve the financial rights of the staff by BEUN administration has been meticulously completed. As a result of the agreement reached with İş Bankası Zonguldak Branch, a 3-year protocol covering the period from 10.04.2026 to 10.04.2029 has been signed.

During the signing ceremony, held at the Rectorate building, BEUN Rector Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Özölçer and İş Bankası Zonguldak Branch Manager Fahri Erol were present. As part of the protocol, all academic and administrative staff will benefit from the cash payment of 99,000 TL. In addition, with the inclusion of 1,000 TL worth of bonus points to be loaded onto eligible credit cards with available limits, the total benefit amount will be enhanced.

Employees’ Financial Preferences Were Also Considered

In the agreement, the different financial needs of the university personnel were also taken into account. For employees who do not wish to benefit from the promotion payment, an interest-free loan opportunity is offered as an alternative option, provided that they meet the bank’s criteria. When the application principles regarding the interest-free loan are finalized, personnel will be additionally informed. Thus, the process has been presented in a flexible structure suitable for the preferences and needs of the employees.

In his remarks on the subject, BEUN Rector Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Özölçer emphasized the staff-focused administrative approach and stated the following:

“We highly value the work and contribution of all academic and administrative personnel of our university. We have implemented this agreement as a result of a fair and transparent process that prioritizes the welfare of our employees. We will continue to take steps to strengthen the financial and social opportunities of every member of our university family. I wish the signed protocol to be beneficial both for our valuable colleagues and the İş Bankası family; I also thank the commission members who worked meticulously to ensure that the process resulted in favor of our personnel, and the İş Bankası officials for their constructive cooperation approach. I hope that our cooperation continues in mutual trust and institutional solidarity.”
