
Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University (BEUN) continues to stand out with its significant achievements in various fields of sports. Dilara Ulama, a student from the Department of English Language and Literature at the Teoman Duralı Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, achieved a significant success placing third in Türkiye in the 57-kg category at Kurash Seniors Türkiye Championship organized by the Turkish Traditional Sports Branches Federation in Sakarya between May 22-24, 2026.
BEUN Aims for the Top in All Fields of Sports
With her high performance in the organization held with the participation of many successful athletes all over Türkiye, Dilara Ulama ranked 3rd and won the bronze medal.
As a strong reflection of the vision that develops its students in the fields of culture, arts, and sports as well as the qualified academic education it provides, BEUN demonstrated its rise in the field of sports once again through this success. Standing out with its national and international achievements in the last years, BEUN continues to rise its success rate steadily with its students’ hard work and support of experienced academic staff.

In his remarks on the subject, Rector Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Özölçer stated the following:
“I wholeheartedly congratulate Dilara Ulama, who ranked third in Türkiye in the 57-kg category at Kurash Seniors Türkiye Championship organized by the Turkish Traditional Sports Branches Federation. The dedication, discipline, and determination of our student reflect her hard work.
As Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University, we support our students to develop themselves in sports, cultural, and social fields. As we believe that a strong future can be built with well-established youth who raised themselves in the academic, cultural, and sports fields. This meaningful achievement of Dilara is a result of sports culture and the supportive academic educational approach we provide for our students. I would like to extend my gratitude to the Minister of Youth and Sports Dr. Osman Aşkın Bak, for their contributions to the development of Turkish sports, Ministry of Youth and Sports community, Turkish Traditional Sports Branches Federation.
