Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University (BEUN) continues to certify its quality-focused educational approach on the national and international levels. Undergraduate Programs including Physics, Chemistry, and Moleculular Biology and Genetics at BEUN Faculty of Science achieved great success by being accredited by the Association for Evaluation and Accreditation of Teaching Programs in Faculties of Science, Letters, Science and Letters, Language, and History-Geography (FEDEK).

BEUN’s Educational Stability in International Standards

As a result of the comprehensive evaluation process, Department of Physics at BEUN Faculty of Science was accredited by FEDEK for 5 years between 22 March 2026 - 30 September 2031, Department of Chemistry for 3 years between 26 March 2026 – 30 September 2029, Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics for 1 year between 26 March 2026 – 30 September 2027. These results stood out as a result of continuous improvement vision and quality assurance focused educational approach at BEUN. This success demonstrates BEUN’s determination to provide student-oriented and modern education in international standards.

Accredited programs provide a distinguished educational atmosphere with qualified academic staff, strong infrastructure, research opportunities, and modern educational approaches while strengthening competitive capacity of graduate students on the national and international levels.

Rector Özölçer: “We Crown our Quality Focused Approach with Accreditations”

In his remarks on the topic, BEUN Rector Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Özölçer emphasized the increase in the academic success rate and stated the following:

“As Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University we continue with our studies that prioritize quality and sustainable development in educational activities. The accreditation of Departments of Physics, Chemistry, and Molecular Biology and Genetics be FEDEK is a strong sign of the academic efficiency and educational quality at our university. These accreditations are not just a certificate but a concreate representation of the compatibility to national and international standards, transparency, and the principle of continuous development of our university. These processes that increase the prestige of BEUN diplomas help our alumni in their professional journey.

I extend my gratitude to the President of Council of Higher Education Prof. Dr. Erol Özvar, who pioneers the higher education system and YÖK community, President of Quality Council of Higher Education (YÖKAK) Prof. Dr. Ümit Kocabıçak and YÖKAK community for their contributions.
