Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University (BEUN) continues to advance its quality-oriented approach in education with stronger steps each day. In this context, the undergraduate programs of ‘Guidance and Psychological Counseling’, ‘Social Studies Teaching’, and ‘Turkish Language Teaching’ within BEUN Ereğli Faculty of Education have achieved a significant success by being accredited for three years, from May 1, 2026 to May 1, 2029, by the Association for Evaluation and Accreditation of Teacher Education Programs (EPDAD).

Quality and Assurance in Education at BEUN

The accreditation achieved at the end of the evaluation process for BEUN undergraduate level programs demonstrates the strong academic infrastructure in the field of raising teachers, modern educational approach, and continuous development vision of Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University. Accredited programs take on a role to carry the professional competence of the graduates to national and international standards while attracting attention with its qualified academic staff, student focused educational approach, and hands-on training focus.

This success is more than just an academic gain; it stands out as a concrete sign of significance BEUN attaches to quality assurance and goal of perfection in education.

Rector Özölçer: “We Continue with our Educational Approach That Focuses on Quality in Raising Teachers”

In his remarks on the subject, BEUN Rector Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Özölçer emphasized that the curve of the academic success of the university rises every day and stated the following:

“As Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University, one of the most deep-rooted institutions of our country, we continue with our educational activities with an approach that focuses on quality, sustainability, and continuous improvement. The fact that the undergraduate programs of ‘Guidance and Psychological Counseling’, ‘Social Studies Teaching’, and ‘Turkish Language Teaching’ within BEUN Ereğli Faculty of Education were accredited by EPDAD is a strong sign of academic competency and education quality of our university. The accreditations are not just documents but a clear expression of the compatibility of our education with national and international standards, transparency, and continuous development. The process that increases the prestige of our graduate students' diploma also provides advantages for their professional lives.

Raising teachers is not just about sharing knowledge but raising individuals who will add value to the future generations and lead the society. Acting with this notion, our university has a dynamic structure that revises, develops, and renews the educational programs according to the needs of the age. The accreditation process gives us the opportunity to see our strong sides and strengthen our areas of improvement. This achievement is the result of the dedicated work of our academic staff and institutional quality approach.
