Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University (BEUN) met with prospective students at an event held in Gaziantep as part of its University Introduction and Admission Counseling Days. University officials provided detailed information to students at the promotional stand about Zonguldak's long-standing academic tradition and the wide range of opportunities offered by BEUN.
Located in Zonguldak, a gem in the Western Black Sea region, which has a strong position in the fields of energy and industry as well as historical and cultural heritage, BEUN was founded 101 years ago and is among the universities with a strong academic structure that is open to development and preferred by students from different geographical regions. Prospective students showed great interest in the promotional stand and had the opportunity to ask questions they were curious about in person.

Representing the university, Dr. Emel Kesin, Assistant Professor, emphasized that Zonguldak is the first province of the Republic and the capital of energy, stating the following:
“As Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University, we are a university with students from every region of Türkiye and a preferred choice. This year, we are proud to have received a 5-year full institutional accreditation from the Türkiye Higher Education Quality Council (THEQC). Currently, we have 22 accredited and 21 programs in Turkish Qualifications Framework. In the 2025-2026 academic year, we opened 14 new departments and programs; we will be accepting students for 11 of them."
Referring to the opportunities offered by the university, Kesin continued:
"Our accredited departments ensure quality. In our nature-filled, sports-friendly campus, we offer our students a fulfilling university life in both academic and social terms. We have a campus life enriched with sporting and social activities. Our well-equipped laboratory infrastructure and established academic structure form a solid foundation for quality education."

Dr. Emel Kesin, also mentioned BEUN's emphasis on international student mobility and said:
"Through our International Relations Unit, our students can our students can have many educational and internship opportunities abroad under 253 Erasmus+ programs. Additionally, our Career Center provides one-on-one guidance for students’ career planning, while our Continuing Education Center contributes to their personal development through various courses and certification programs alongside academic education. These certifications support our students in gaining a competitive edge in the job market.”
Wishing success to prospective students as part of the promotional activities, Kesin concluded his remarks as follows:
