Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University (BEUN) attended the University Introduction and Admission Counseling Days held in İstanbul between July 25 and July 27, 2025, to meet prospective students. Representatives from the Coordinatorship of Corporate Communication shared comprehensive information on the academic departments, education quality, scholarship opportunities, and social life in BEUN. Students and their families met the BEUN stand with great interest.

Rector Özölçer visited the BEUN stand on the second day of the Introduction days and stated the following:
“Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University, the first university of the Republic of Türkiye, is not just a university students prefer but a university they dream of with a broad range of resources. We provide our students with an atmosphere that supports them in cultural, social, and personal aspects. BEUN, located in a safe and dynamic city with natural beauty, produces science with an aim to prepare students for the future in which they can move forward with steady confidence. We are happy to see the great interest in BEUN in İstanbul. BEUN is a distinguished higher education institution with a rich history, technological infrastructure, and people-focused approach. I extend my best wishes to all prospective students.”
BEUN is Met with Great Interest in the 4 Main Cities
Representatives from the Coordinatorship of Corporate Communication stated that BEUN has a significant place in higher education with its vision of internationalization and an interdisciplinary approach to education. It was also highlighted that BEUN has been certified with a 5-year-long full accreditation.
Stating the fact that 22 programs completed the accreditation process successfully and 21 programs have been awarded the Turkish Qualifications Framework logo, representatives conveyed that BEUN continues to keep the student-oriented quality standards.
Mentioning the social life opportunities BEUN offers, representatives expressed the fact that BEUN supports multifaceted student life with sports facilities, a semi-olympic swimming pool, artistic activities, student clubs, and the Youth Office founded in cooperation with the Ministry of Youth and Sports. It was also stated that cultural and arts activities such as BEUNFEST strengthen the campus culture.
Achievements in the technological areas have been shared with students at the fair. The Grizu-263 Space Team’s launch of Türkiye’s first pocket satellite into space via a SpaceX rocket, along with B-Dispate Team’s software and robotics accomplishments at TEKNOFEST, clearly demonstrated how students are contributing to world-class scientific projects. Similarly, Cyber Homeland Competency Center and BEUN are playing a leading role in the digital defense field.
BEUN’s providing education and internship opportunities in 25 countries with 253 Erasmus + agreements was highlighted as an indication of the university’s emphasis on international mobility. In addition, it was noted that students got a monthly scholarship of 6000TL under the “Offshore Drilling Technologies” and “Sealed applications technology” programs supported by the “Turkish Petroleum Corporation” and that drew considerable interest from prospective students.
The Coordinatorship pointed out that BEUN stands out with its technologically up-to-date programs. It was announced that this year, for the first time, new departments such as Software Development, Information Systems and Technologies, Corporate IT Expertise, and Cloud Computing Operations would be accepting students, aiming to equip them with practical and industry-relevant knowledge.
Finally, representatives from the Coordinatorship pointed out that BEUN has been met with great interest in the fairs in four big cities- Gaziantep, Bursa, Ankara, and İstanbul, stating the fact that it is a sign of BEUN’s student-oriented vision and academic success.
