Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University took its place at the “Marmara Career Fair 2026,” one of Türkiye’s most comprehensive career organizations, drawing attention as one of the important higher education institutions guiding young people on their career journeys. At the fair, which was hosted by Bursa Uludağ University with strong participation, the BEUN stand attracted great interest from students and sector representatives.
BEUN Drew Attention in Bursa with Its Academic and Career Vision
At the fair held on May 12–13, in which BEUN also took part as a stakeholder, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Seda Tapdık Terzioğlu, Director of the Career Planning Application and Research Center, Lecturer Tuba Nur Oğuz Özkan, Deputy Director of the Center, and Research Assistant Dr. Utku Can Atılgan from the Faculty of Science represented Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University.
At the fair, which brought together university students, graduates, public institutions, and private sector representatives from all over Türkiye, participants were informed about Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University’s undergraduate, associate degree, and graduate education opportunities, internationalization vision, career support programs, student-oriented education approach, and scientific achievements. During the meetings held throughout the fair, participants were informed about BEUN’s 5-year full institutional accreditation granted by YÖKAK, its international Erasmus+ agreements, scientific research centers, and achievements in technology and innovation.
A Major Organization Guiding Young People on Their Career Journeys
Recognized as one of Türkiye’s important career organizations, the Marmara Career Fair not only contributed to shaping young people’s career goals but also laid the groundwork for developing strong collaborations between universities and public and private sector institutions. Throughout the fair, students visiting the BEUN stand showed great interest in the university’s academic units, research centers, scientific projects, and career-oriented educational approach. In particular, studies carried out in the fields of technology, healthcare, engineering, social sciences, and international collaborations were followed with interest by students.
Rector Özölçer: “We Consider Every Platform Guiding the Future of Our Young People Extremely Valuable”
In his remarks regarding the Marmara Career Fair, Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University Rector Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Özölçer stated that career organizations make important contributions to the future vision of young people and expressed the following remarks:
“As Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University, we adopt the principle of preparing our students for the future in the strongest possible way socially, culturally, scientifically, and professionally. In this regard, we consider every platform guiding our young people on their career journeys extremely valuable. The Marmara Career Fair is also a highly valuable organization where our students gain important experiences by coming together with public institutions, private sector representatives, and different universities.
Our University, which carries the vision of being the first university of the Republic and advances its scientific production further every day with its 102-year deep-rooted history, continues to shape the future of our young people with its academic accumulation, strong infrastructure, student-oriented educational approach, and internationalization goals. On this occasion, I would like to extend my thanks to the entire Bursa Uludağ University family, especially to the Rector of Bursa Uludağ University, Prof. Dr. Ferudun Yılmaz, for their efforts in organizing such a valuable event.
