
The “İŞKUR Youth Program Collaboration Protocol” was signed between Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University (BEUN) and Zonguldak Province Directorate of the Türkiye Employment Agency (İŞKUR) to support the professional development of students, strengthen their employability skills, and help them adapt to professional life.
BEUN Rector İsmail Hakkı Özölçer and İŞKUR Zonguldak Provincial Director Okan Şentürk attended the signing ceremony held within the framework of the Youth Program at the BEUN Senate Hall.
The protocol aims to support the professional development of the students while they continue their university education. The protocol, which aims to support students with individual advisory, job search, professional CV preparation, social responsibility projects, and events related to social services, includes academic and administrative work, campus activities, and the research process.
A total of 1860 students accepted into the program will receive daily payments, and their health insurance, occupational accident, and disease insurance premiums will be covered. Through the Youth Program, students will have an opportunity to gain sectoral experience and adapt to professional life, which will support their future careers.
Speaking at the ceremony, BEUN Rector Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Özölçer stated that Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University has always supported students through academic and scientific developments as well as in adapting to professional life, sector-based development, and entering the workforce. By expressing that he was delighted with the fact that students will be supported in their future careers within the framework of the protocol, as well as the quality education they have at BEUN, Rector Özölçer stated that it is a big opportunity for students to be provided with daily payments, health insurance, occupational accident and disease insurance premiums for their future employment.
BEUN Rector Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Özölçer emphasized that BEUN stands out not only with its academic achievements, but also by contributing to the students’ career development.
Prof Dr. Özölçer added, “Our university gives priority to providing students with professional experience, helping them adapt to the sector and join the workforce. The protocol we have signed with İŞKUR will contribute to their careers and prepare them for the future. Having the economic support will make the process more effective. I express my gratitude to President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, who pioneered such a meaningful project. I also extend my thanks, particularly to the Minister of Labor and Social Security, Prof. Dr. Vedat Işıkhan, and the family of the Ministry of Labor and Social Security. I would also like to thank the Director of the Türkiye Employment Agency, Mr. Samet Güneş, and the Türkiye Employment Agency family, Zonguldak Provincial Director of İŞKUR, Okan Şentürk, and the Zonguldak Provincial Directorate Family. I congratulate the students who will be selected to be in the program in advance, and hope the protocol will be beneficial to our students and our university.”
Within the framework of the protocol, students will submit their applications through the İŞKUR online system between October 23 and 27, 2025, by selecting the district where their undergraduate, graduate, or associate degree program is located, via https://genclik.iskur.gov.tr/ .
