Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University (BEUN) Faculty of Communication held an Academic Board Meeting focusing on determining goals and conducting comprehensive evaluations for the future term plans for the 2025-2026 Academic Year.
The meeting was held at Faculty of Communication and attended by the Rector of Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Özölçer, the Dean of Faculty of Communication Prof. Dr. Hamza Çeştepe, vice deans and academic staff.
Academic and Administrative Activities Were Discussed in the Faculty of Communication
At the opening of the meeting, Dean Prof. Dr. Hamza Çeştepe delivered a presentation on the activities carried out during the 2024–2025 Academic Year. In his presentation, Prof. Dr. Çeştepe provided detailed information on the planned activities for the 2025–2026 Academic Year, the new academic year roadmap, the number of academic and administrative staff and students, as well as the scientific and social projects and academic studies that have been completed or are currently ongoing within the faculty. He also shared information on the academic projects they aim to implement and the social, cultural, and community-oriented activities planned for students. Concluding his remarks, Prof. Dr. Çeştepe thanked BEUN Rector Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Özölçer for his continuous support for the development of the Faculty of Communication.
Certificates of Appreciation to Academics Who Stood Out in Scientific Activities
BEUN Rector Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Özölçer presented certificates of appreciation to academicians who stood out with their scientific publications in national and international indexed journals.
Rector Özölçer: “We Will Continue Our Academic Success ad Social Activities in the New Term”
After the certificate presentation, BEUN Rector Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Özölçer delivered a general evaluation of the 2024–2025 Academic Year. Wishing the 2025–2026 Academic Year to be auspicious for the university family, Rector Özölçer emphasized that the Faculty of Communication’s work is significant in BEUN’s academic success and socio-cultural visibility and added:
“We concluded the 2024-2025 Academic Year with success in fields from academic studies to social contribution. Our Faculty of Communication supports the creativity of the students with activities such as “Visuality and Music” and “Success Story of a Woman Entrepreneur” as well as the seminars it organizes. The success achieved in poster design competition that aims to introduce the historical, cultural, and natural beauties of Zonguldak and Universities’ Communication Ideas Competition titled “I have an Idea”. The performance in line with the sustainable environmental policies, and zero waste goal is a clear sign of institutional responsibility. We will continue to work with a vision that prioritizes innovative approaches and strengthens the scientific production and international collaborations. I would like to thank all academic and administrative staff and wish them continuous success.”
