
“2025-2026 URAP Türkiye Ranking” prepared by the University Ranking by Academic Performance Research Laboratory operating under Middle East Technical University Graduate School of Informatics was announced. In the ranking where 198 universities were evaluated, Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University climbed 9 places from 2023-2024 to reach the 79th place and achieved a great success.
In the URAP evaluation, universities were ranked based on 15 different indicators, including the number of academic articles, citations, scientific documents, doctoral programs, and domestic collaborations. In line with these indicators, BEUN surpassed 119 higher education institutions, demonstrating its academic productivity and research capacity.
BEUN achieved great success, ranking 64th among state universities and 47th in the ranking titled “Universities with a Faculty of Medicine”. In the ranking, the university took the 73rd place based on citation score, the 60th on article score, the 74th on domestic collaboration score, and the 73rd on scientific documents.

The Rector of Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University (BEUN), Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Özölçer, emphasized that the URAP ranking results are a reflection of the university’s commitment to scientific production and stated:

This significant rise in various categories in the URAP ranking is an indicator of the university’s scientific potential and determination to work. I would also like to thank all academic and administrative staff who contributed to this success.
