Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University (BEUN) Faculty of Theology, 2025-2026 Academic Board Meeting was held with the participation of Rector Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Özölçer.
The meeting was held at the Doc. Dr. Ali Arslan and attended by the Rector of Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Özölçer, the Dean of Faculty of Theology Prof. Dr. Seyfullah Kara, vice deans, and academics.
In his opening speech, Rector Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Özölçer made general evaluations of the 2024-2025 academic year. Wishing abundance, peace, and health for the Turkish-Islamic community, Rector Özölçer congratulated the Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit Univeristy community on the month of Ramadan. Wishing the 2025-2026 Academic Year to be auspicious for the Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit Univeristy community, Rector Özölçer stated that he hopes Faculty of Theology, which stands out with its successful initiatives, will create many more qualified academic studies.
Rector Prof. Dr. Özölçer emphasized that Faculty of Theology stands out with its social and cultural initiatives and significant activities such as sectoral cooperations as well as its academic success. Rector Özölçer highlighted that the Faculty of Theology became a preferred unit of BEUN on the national and international platforms by adopting modern academic perspectives in the 21st century, in the light of the research principle followed in the graduate and undergraduate levels, with its interdisciplinary studies and raising role models for the future e. Stating that it is a necessity to have an active role in the national and international projects, to increase the number of qualified scientific publications, and strengthen the academic collaborations, Prof. Dr. Özölçer thanked all academic and administrative staff of the Faculty of Theology who contributed to the development of the faculty in terms of academic studies and social activities.
The Dean of the Faculty of Theology, Prof. Dr. Seyfullah Kara, gave a speech on the academic and social activities as well as the administrative structure of the faculty. Prof. Dr. Kara made comments on the academic and social activities that happened in the 2024-2025 academic year, and he talked about the events that are planned for the 2025-2026 academic year in detail. Prof. Dr. Kara gave information about the prospective joint projects with industry and social and cultural activities that are planned for the students, as well as the ongoing accreditation studies. He concluded his words thanking the Rector Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Özölçer, who has always supported the development of the Faculty of Theology.
