Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University (BEUN) Faculty of Health held an Academic Board Meeting focusing on planning and evaluation for the 2025-2026 Academic Year.
The meeting was held on İbni Sina campus faculty of Health Sciences and attended by the Rector of Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Özölçer, Dean of Faculty of Health Sciences Prof. Dr. Sibel Koçak, vice deans, and academic staff.
Academic and Administrative Activities Reviewed at the Faculty of Health Sciences
At the opening of the meeting, Prof. Dr. Sibel Koçak, Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences, delivered a comprehensive presentation on the activities carried out within the faculty during the 2024–2025 Academic Year.
Prof. Dr. Koçak shared detailed information on the plans for the 2025–2026 Academic Year, new-term goals, numbers of academic and administrative staff and students, as well as completed and ongoing scientific, sportive, and social projects. She also addressed the academic projects planned for implementation and the cultural and social activities designed for students. Concluding her presentation, Prof. Dr. Koçak expressed her gratitude to BEUN Rector Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Özölçer for his continued support of the Faculty of Health Sciences.
Certificates of Appreciation Presented to Academics with Outstanding Achievements
Following the presentation, during the continuation of the Academic Board Meeting, BEUN Rector Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Özölçer presented certificates of appreciation to academics who distinguished themselves with scientific publications indexed in national and international databases.
Rector Özölçer: “We Are Building the Future with Quality Education and Innovative Approaches in Health”
After the certificate ceremony, Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University Rector Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Özölçer delivered a general evaluation of the 2024–2025 Academic Year. Wishing the 2025–2026 Academic Year Spring Semester success for the entire university community, Rector Özölçer emphasized that the Faculty of Health Sciences’ qualified education, research, and applied studies make significant contributions to the university’s scientific strength and vision in the field of health.
Stating that Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University continues with determination to strengthen its academic structure, Rector Özölçer included the following remarks in his speech:
“Our University continues to reinforce its academic structure day by day with the aim of being a leading institution in all fields such as health, education, arts, and sports. The Faculty’s Zero Waste Training, Disaster Awareness Training, our students’ ÜNDES projects receiving support from the Ministry of Youth and Sports, and the strengthening of our academic staff with international scholars within the scope of Article 46 are important indicators of this vision.”
Rector Prof. Dr. Özölçer underlined the importance of preparing students of the Faculty of Health Sciences as individuals who are responsive to sectoral and contemporary needs, possess strong problem-solving skills, demonstrate professional responsibility, are productive, entrepreneurial, socially active, and academically well-equipped. Emphasizing that innovative approaches form the basis of sustainable education, he drew attention to the need for more active participation in national and international projects, an increase in high-quality scientific publications, and the strengthening of academic collaborations. At the end of his speech, Rector Özölçer thanked all academic and administrative staff who contribute to the development of the faculty through their academic work and social contributions in the field of health, and wished them continued success.
