“Prof. Dr. Ş. Teoman Duralı is one of our most distinguished thinkers, a powerful intellectual voice who brought philosophy and science, thought and life, tradition and modernity together on the same intellectual ground. The works he produced are not merely the outcome of an academic accumulation; they are also the manifestation of a deeply rooted civilizational consciousness, profound wisdom, and rich intellectual depth. Professor Duralı approached thought not as an abstract field of inquiry, but as a life practice aimed at understanding human beings, society, and civilization. The valuable symposium organized today in his memory is therefore a highly meaningful and significant initiative, as it keeps his intellectual legacy alive, conveys the perspective he brought to our world of thought to new generations, and enables his ideas to gain new interpretations within the academic community.

At the same time, they fulfill an important function by ensuring the continuity of intellectual accumulation, nurturing critical thinking, and keeping the ground for philosophical debate vibrant.
