ZBEU OVAT Team, under the Office of Technology Teams at Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University (BEUN), has achieved remarkable success in the Teknofest Robotaxi Full-Scale Autonomous Vehicle Competition.

A total of 568 teams across Türkiye participated in the Teknofest Robotaxi Full-Scale Autonomous Vehicle Competition organized in the Bilişim Vadisi under the scope of Teknofest 2025. The ZBEÜ UVAT team under the office of BEUN Technology Teams was among the 42 teams in the finals.

In the competition organized in order to contribute to the development of autonomous vehicle technologies and provide an opportunity for the engineers to present their skills, 42 teams in the finals competed to complete the tasks. ZBEÜ OVAT Team is proud to represent both our university and Zonguldak with the 7th place they have achieved in the competition. The Rector of BEUN, Prod. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Özölçer congratulated the students for their hard work and enthusiasm and stated that the Teknofest Competition is a platform that provides an opportunity for the students to experience their skills in developing problem-solving, leadership, teamwork, creative thinking, and producing innovative projects, as well as developing their engineering and technical knowledge.  He also noted that such competitions contribute to the careers and personal development of prospective young engineers.

Rector Prof. Dr. Özölçer emphasized that: “The effort and determination of our students in this competition proves their high potential as the future technology leaders. Platforms like Teknofest provide an opportunity for the young people to realize their dreams, produce innovative solutions, and experience teamwork.”
