
Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University (BEUN) has taken another step to improve its international academic partnerships. The Dean of Teoman Duralı Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Prof. Dr. Melih Geniş, came together with Assoc. Prof. Kenjegali Zharas Makanuly, the Dean of the Faculty of History at Karaganda Buketov University, one of the established higher education institutions, on 22 September 2025.
At the end of the meeting, significant cooperation goals were determined on student and academic staff exchange, joint academic projects, scientific publications, and cultural activities. The meeting holds significance for the strong and sustainable academic connections between the two universities.
Rector Özölçer: “We Continue to Strengthen Our International Collaborations”
The Rector of Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University, Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Özölçer, emphasized that such connections contribute to the international vision of our university and added the following:
“As Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University, we always care about providing education and research opportunities for our students and academic staff with international collaborations in the academic world. In this respect, the meetings the Dean of Teoman Duralı Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Prof. Dr. Melih Geniş, had with the Faculty of History at Karaganda Buketov University in Kazakhstan hold great importance. I strongly believe that the student and academic staff exchange and the joint research projects between the two universities will be beneficial for the institutions and the scientific community. I extend my thanks to all the academics attending the meeting, particularly the Karaganda Buketov University family, and also our valuable Dean, Prof. Dr. Melih Geniş, for his work in the name of our university, and wish him success in his endeavors. As Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University, a significant name in the international academic community with its successful studies, we will continue to increase the number of cooperations in order to widen our academic cooperation web and make it possible for the students and academic staff to have international experience and to pioneer multinational studies.”
