Students Clubs operating at Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit Univeristy (BEUN) achieved a significant success within the scope of Student Clubs Communities Cooperation and Support Program (ÜNİDES). With a total of 13 projects that qualified for support- 4 national and 9 local- BEUN student clubs ranked among the top 20 universities across Türkiye.
The results of the 6th term of the ÜNİDES program, implemented by the General Directorate of Youth Services under the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Türkiye, have been announced. The program aims to contribute to the personal, social, cultural, and athletic development of young people.
A total of 6,659 project applications were submitted by state and foundation universities across Türkiye. Following evaluations carried out by the assessment commission, 1,378 projects were deemed eligible for support. In this context, 13 projects prepared by student communities at Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University were awarded support, marking an important achievement for the university. These projects, prepared in scientific, cultural, artistic, and social fields, once again demonstrated the productivity of university youth and their strong sense of social responsibility.

Expressing his great satisfaction with the success achieved by BEUN student communities within the ÜNİDES program, the Rector of Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University, Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Özölçer, made the following remarks:
“Creating a university environment where scientific production, social interaction, and cultural richness develop together is among our primary goals. As Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University, we do not only equip our students with academic knowledge; we also place great importance on supporting their social, cultural, and personal development so that they grow into multi-faceted individuals. The student clubs operating within our university represent one of the strongest reflections of this vision. The creative and innovative projects developed by our students are extremely valuable as they demonstrate their entrepreneurial spirit, social awareness, and productivity. Within the scope of the ÜNİDES program, the fact that 13 projects prepared by our student communities—4 national and 9 local—have been awarded support, and that our university has ranked among the top 20 universities in Türkiye, has made us extremely proud. This achievement clearly demonstrates the development of our students’ scientific thinking skills, their strong potential to produce socially beneficial projects, and the strength of the academic and social environment we have established at our university. I believe that through these projects our students will not only contribute to their personal development but will also build stronger connections with society.
On this occasion, I would like to extend my sincere gratitude to the Minister of Youth and Sports, Osman Aşkın Bak, as well as the entire Ministry of Youth and Sports family and the General Directorate of Youth Services for implementing such a valuable program that contributes significantly to the personal, social, and academic development of our youth. I wholeheartedly congratulate our students and community advisors whose projects have been awarded support and wish them great success in implementing their projects.”
