A student at the Department of Computer Engineering at Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University (BEUN) Faculty of Engineering, Yusuf Taha Çimen, achieved great success on June 2, 2025. Detecting a critical  Reflective XSS vulnerability, Çimen was listed on the official UNESCO Website and attracted attention on the international platform. 

This achievement shows that young prospective engineers stand out in the international arena with significant studies, as well as the quality of education BEUN provides in information and cybersecurity.

The Rector of Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University, Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Özölçer, emphasized that this achievement is a source of pride not only for BEUN, but also for our country and added:
