
Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University (BEUN) continues to make a name for itself with the decisive steps it has taken, aligned with its internationalization vision. Under the Erasmus+ KA171 Project, which offers education and internship opportunities in Europe, BEUN has achieved a remarkable 225% increase in the grant allocated for 2025, reaching its highest-ever Erasmus+ budget and opening the door to a new era of international mobility for its students and staff.
Remarkable Increase in Erasmus+ Budget: 225% Increase in 3 years
BEUN has reached a significant milestone in 3 years of Erasmus+ KA171 projects, with a 55% increase from 2023 to 2024 and a 109% increase from 2024 to 2025, resulting in a total of 225% increase in the budget.
Also in KA131 projects, there has been a 70% increase in the budget since 2022. There has also been a significant increase in the number of international partners. These numbers indicate that BEUN strengthened its network of partnerships by increasing its academic visibility in Europe.
More Mobility, More Experience in BEUN
Thanks to this success, BEUN will be able to provide more of its students with an opportunity to get an education or do an internship. Also, BEUN academic and administrative staff will have a better chance to teach or get an education in the international arena.
The main goal of the KA171 activities is to support students’ personal growth and improve their employability rate, to improve the professional competence of staff, and strengthen the international capacity of higher education institutions. Improving the foreign language competence, raising international awareness, and promoting awareness of European Citizenship are among the goals of the program.
