Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University (BEUN) strengthened its academic staff with the appointment of 20 academics, including 9 Professors and 11 Associate Professors. These appointments are considered a concrete indicator of the university's commitment to advancing its development in higher education and research.

Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Şenol Hakan Kutoğlu and Prof. Dr. Servet Karasu, Secretary General Prof. Dr. Zehra Safi Öz, and university senate members attended the board meeting held under the chairmanship of BEUN Rector Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Özölçer at the Senate Hall. During the meeting, 9 professors were presented with their robes by the Rector Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Özölçer himself and 11 academics were officially appointed as Associate Professors.

Rector Özölçer: “We Move Forward with Our Strong Academic Staff”

During his speech at the meeting, Rector Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Özölçer highlighted the significance of new appointments for the institutional development of the university and added:

We are proud and happy to strengthen the academic staff of this deep-rooted university whose history dates to 1924 and 102nd anniversary we will celebrate as Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University. These appointments are a significant sign of the determination to increase the scientific production of our university, better the quality of the education and continue with the research-focused development. I wholeheartedly believe that we will achieve many more projects with our strong administrative and academic staff along with significant contributions from our academics standing out with their efficiency in their fields. Our qualified human resources will contribute to the scientific and academic development of our city and country as well as our university.

Our goal is to elevate our university to a “Candidate Research University” and move in the direction to become a research university. In this respect, we continue with our goal to increase our scientific capacity, our visibility on the international level and to be a better university. I wholeheartedly congratulate our professors who were presented with their robes today and appointed as associate professors, and wish them success in their academic lives. I believe they will achieve many more qualified initiatives and thank our colleagues who contributed to this process.”
