The Rector of Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University (BEUN), Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Özölçer, paid a congratulatory visit to the Rector of Bartın University (BARÜ).

Prof. Dr. Özölçer visited the Rector of Bartın University (BARÜ), Prof. Dr. Ahmet Akkaya, who has been appointed as the Rector of the BARÜ with the approval of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on May 17, 2025, in his office, and wished him luck and success in his new role.

Academic cooperation and joint projects between the two universities were discussed during this visit. It was emphasized that the higher education institutions contribute not only to the educational activities but also to the social, cultural, and economic development of the city.

BARÜ Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Akkaya thanked Prof. Dr. Özölçer for his kind wishes and attention and stated that he will be pleased to support any joint projects between the two universities.
