Rector of Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University (BEUN) Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Özölçer, visited the BEUN Hospital located at the İbni Sina Campus on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr. The celebration program held during the visit was attended by the hospital management as well as academic and administrative staff.

During the visit, which was carried out to share the spiritual atmosphere of the holiday, Rector Özölçer took a close interest in the patients undergoing treatment, their relatives, and the healthcare workers, offering his get-well wishes and providing moral support. Pointing out that healthcare professionals continue their duties with great devotion even during the holidays, Özölçer thanked all health personnel for their hard work.

Making a statement as part of the program, Rector Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Özölçer noted that Eids are not only a religious obligation but also one of the strongest symbols of social unity, togetherness, tolerance, and solidarity, stating the following:

"Eid al-Fitr is one of the most beautiful times for sharing, helping one another, and building bridges between hearts. On such holy and meaningful days, it is very precious for us to be alongside our patients, their relatives, and our healthcare workers who perform their duties selflessly. Indeed, this period—declared as the 'Year of the Family' by our President, Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan—reminds us once again of our responsibility to hold more tightly to our familial, spiritual, and cultural values. Of course, a family does not consist only of individuals living under the same roof. For us, family is also the name of the large and strong bond we have established under the roof of our University. Our University, with its deep-rooted 101-year history, strengthens this bond by standing by our patients and their relatives and by sharing in the devoted struggle of our healthcare workers. On this occasion, I wish a speedy recovery to all our patients being treated at our Hospital and convey my get-well wishes to their relatives. Furthermore, I congratulate our esteemed academic and administrative staff, our students, and our fellow citizens of Zonguldak on Eid al-Fitr with my sincerest wishes. I pray to the Lord that we all reach many healthy, peaceful, and happy holidays together."

The holiday visit concluded with the sharing of mutual good wishes and a commemorative photo session.
