While it is stated that BEUN provides students with a strong educational infrastructure with its 28 accredited programs, 20 departments with TYÇ (Türkiye Qualifications Framework) logo, hundreds of Erasmus+ agreements with 43 countries, double major, minor and transfer opportunities, it is also highlighted that it has the opportunity to prepare students for professional life with its career fairs, meetings with sector representatives, internship opportunities, and public institutions-university-industry collaborations. The collaborations made particularly with Ereğli Iron and Steel Works (Erdemir), Turkish Hard Coal Enterprise, Turkish Petroleum Enterprise, and many institutions in the organized industrial zones contribute to their hands-on training process.
University Producing Science and Technology
BEUN’s research and project production culture are among the highly discussed topics in the preference fairs. Initiatives carried out in National Technology Workshops, achievements in TEKNOFEST, TÜBİTAK, and ÜNİDES projects, and innovative projects developed by student technology teams are explained to students. Rankings achieved in national and international competitions, particularly Grizu-263 Space Team, which developed the first and only pocket satellite and sent to space, are among the significant signs of practice-focused educational approach and research ecosystem of the university. The first and only departments of Offshore Drilling Technologies and Offshore Subsea Application Technology opened in collaboration with Council of Higher Education, Turkish Petroleum Enterprise, and BEUN attract great attention from students aiming a career in energy sector.
