Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University (BEUN) maintains its success in the global arena with its scientific productivity, academic quality, and international visibility. In the “2026 World University Ranking” announced by the Times Higher Education (THE), one of the most prestigious institutions, BEUN sustained its steady rise from previous years and preserved its position in the 1501+ band this year.

In the list, which includes 2191 universities from 115 different countries, BEUN was examined in terms of teaching, research environment, research quality, international outlook, and industry. It achieved significant success in various bands among Turkish Universities.

By claiming the 59th place in education, 45th place in research environment, and 57th place in research quality in the rankings, BEUN stood out with its strong structure, qualified educational activities, and influential scientific studies. BEUN also preserved its 44th place in the international outlook category and 55th in the industry category.

Commenting on the THE 2026 World University Rankings, the Rector of Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University, Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Özölçer, emphasized that BEUN has become more visible on the international level with its scientific studies and international influence, and added:

This success is not just a number but a sign of the scientific vision, interdisciplinary studies, and global expansion of the university. This performance we have achieved with the determination of our academic staff, the hard work of our students, and the support of our administration shows how strong our steps are towards our strategic objectives.
