“Art Incentive and Life with Art Program Collaboration Protocol”, which includes arts education and support for veterans and the families of martyrs and veterans, was signed between Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University (BEUN) and Zonguldak Provincial Directorate of Family and Social Services.
BEUN Rector Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Özölçer and Mehmet Türkmen Köse, Zonguldak Provincial Director of Family and Social Services, attended the signing ceremony in the Senate Hall.
The protocol was signed to provide participants with social support to boost their self-confidence, help them express themselves better, and make use of the healing, empowering, and unifying effects of art.
The university and the provincial directorate will cooperate in the planning of the training programs, guiding the attendees and providing the necessary academic and technical support. It is aimed to support the veterans and the relatives of martyrs and veterans in the process of fostering awareness through art and building relationships with society through art.

Commenting on the protocol, BEUN Rector Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Özölçer stated the following:
“Art is a universal language that feeds the human psyche and strengthens social relationships. We would like to create meaningful work with Zonguldak Provincial Directorate of Family and Social Services aimed at our esteemed veterans and respected relatives of veterans and martyrs through this protocol. We aim to help veterans and families of martyrs and relatives express themselves better and engage in social life with this collaboration. I would like to thank particularly Mehmet Türkmen Köse, Zonguldak Provincial Director of Family and Social Services, the Family and Social Services community, and those who contributed to the project. I hope this project will be beneficial to our university, provincial directorate, esteemed veterans, and respected relatives of martyrs and veterans. As Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University, we will continue to share our academic knowledge and experiences through projects aiming at all parts of society.”
