Academic Sectoral and Research Ecosystem is Strengthened with Article-46 (Additional)

According to the "Article-46 (Additional) Domestic 2023-2025", BEUN’s being in the list which includes Middle East Technical University, İstanbul Technical University, Marmara University, Ege University, Dokuz Eylül University, and İhsan Doğramacı Bilkent University, is a clear sign of the scientific production power, research focused approach, and global academic dynamic of our university.

Article-46 (Additional) program allows doctorate-level researchers working at research and development centers and in the sector work part time at universities and brings qualified human resources and strong academic staff together. Experts emphasize that today the impact generated by universities is measured not only by their institutional capacity but also by the quality of the relationships they establish with academia, industry, and international research ecosystems, noting that the Article-46 (Additional) Program directly addresses these needs.

Rector Özölçer: “Through the Article-46 (Additional) Program, We Bring Our Students Together with Academics Who Are Experts in Their Fields Under the Umbrella of International Scientific Culture”

Making a statement on the subject, BEUN Rector Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Özölçer expressed the following views:

“The strong interest shown in our University’s Article-46 (Additional) Program is a clear indication of both our academic strength and our vision for national and international collaboration. Within this framework, academics who have joined BEUN under the Article-46 (Additional) Program across a wide range of disciplines—from medicine and dentistry to natural sciences, tourism, and health sciences—make significant contributions to the prominence of an international academic culture at our University. As BEUN, we attach great importance to bringing our students together with academics who are experts in their fields and have international experience. Thanks to such academic collaborations, our students have the opportunity to engage with diverse cultural and scientific perspectives; they are educated not only with theoretical knowledge but also with a strong research culture, clinical experience, and an innovative scientific approach.

Bringing our students together with academics who have international recognition in their fields makes a major contribution to both their academic and professional development. With these thoughts and feelings, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to our President of the Council of Higher Education (CoHE), Prof. Dr. Erol Özvar, and the esteemed CoHE family for their continuous support throughout this process. I would also like to wholeheartedly thank the distinguished academics who have joined our University for their valuable contributions and wish our dear students every success. As BEUN, we will continue with determination to further strengthen quality in education and research through national and international collaborations.”
