BEUN Introduced Istanbul with Science, Technology, and Culture in TEKNOFEST 2025

Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University (BEUN) will meet technology enthusiasts at TEKNOFEST 2025 in İstanbul Atatürk Airport from 17 to 21 September 2025. Visitors show great interest in the projects from engineering and cultural heritage to software and autonomous systems.  

Corporate Communications Office and Academic staff from the Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Science, and Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences represent the University in the event. Both the technological projects of the students and the scientific and cultural potential of the university are exhibited in the stand.

From Space to Cyber Security: Student Projects Stood Out

BEUN students stood out with international projects in TEKNOFEST. Grizu-263 Space Team attracted attention with Türkiye’s first PocketQube, sent to space with a SpaceX rocket. The performance of B-Despate and ZBEÜ Ovat Team, which achieved success in robotics, in TEKNOFEST competitions, caught the eye of the visitors.

Siber Vatan Competence Center of our University was introduced with the studies in the field of digital defense. The center, contributing to the qualified human resources, highlighted the leading role of BEUN in this field.

Autonomous Vehicle and Cultural Values Met under the Same Roof

Technology and cultural heritage were brought together in the BEUN Stand. The Autonomous vehicle, which won 7th place in the 2025 TEKNOFEST Competitions, attracted attention from the visitors.

Handmade toys designed by Wood Culture Application and Research Center and Devrek Canes PDO(Protected Designation of Origin), produced from the Cornelian Tree, are exhibited. These products are examples of the university’s vision to preserve traditional values as well as enhance technology.  

A wheel event was organized, offering various gifts to participants, and promotional materials received a lot of interest.

Interest in the BEUN Stand

Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University TEKNOFEST 2025 stand attracted great attention from visitors. The Rector of Düzce University, Prof. Dr. Nedim Sözbir, and the Rector of Erzurum Technical University, Prof. Dr. Bülent Çakmak, were among the visitors. Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Servet Karasu informed visitors on both the success of BEUN in TEKNOFEST and the social, cultural, and art works of BEUN.

Full Support to Youth that Shapes the Future of BEUN

Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University, which proved to be a university that shapes the future once again with its performance during TEKNOFEST 2025, received attention with the support it provides to students for scientific studies on the national and international levels. The university continues to prepare the youth for the future with a holistic approach to technology, culture, and education.
