Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University (BEUN) community is saddened by the death of Abdulkerim Arslan, an administrative staff of Faculty of Engineering. Arslan, who served the university for many years with dedication, passed away at the BEUN Hospital, where he has been getting treatment for his health problems. A farewell ceremony was held in front of the Faculty of Engineering on March 18, 2026. Following the prayers offered there, the funeral prayer was performed after the afternoon prayer at İncivez Mosque. Arslan was laid to rest in İncivez Yeni Cemetary.
A farewell ceremony was held for Abdulkerim Arslan, who passed away at the hospital where he has been getting treatment for his health problems, on 18 March 2026 in front of the Faculty of Engineering. Following the funeral prayer performed after the afternoon prayer at İncivez Mosque, late Arslan was laid to rest in İncivez Yeni Cemetary.
Rector Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Özölçer stated the following during the farewell ceremony:
“Our valuable colleague Abdulkerim served at university for years with dedication. His smiling face, benevolence, and hardwork will be a memory for us to remember. His passing is a source of grief for us. I wish Allah’s mercy upon him and patience and condolences. His valuable and shared memory, contributions, and modesty will always be remembered here at BEUN.
We realize that it is a priviledge to be here and support each other. We commemorate our valuable colleague with mercy, and hope he rests in peace.”
Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University family wished late Abdulkerim Arslan Allah’s mercy, and extended condolences to his family, friends, and university community.
